Decadent Decay

Hey guys welcome back. It's time for another Fashion Friday. I've gone for a grand and glitzy look this week, juxtaposed with retro fashion forward aesthetic.  I'm calling it Glorious Gold.

1. Red Pleated Tulip Dress

A pretty new silhouette for Closet London, this dress is all about the multiple pleats and gorgeous draped kimono cap sleeves. Not only that but it's in a lavishly rich red and has pockets to boot. The pleats create a sense of waist shaping whilst providing plenty of room to breath, The kimono sleeves broaden the shoulders and create an hourglass silhouette. I've gone for some statement, high-lux, black and gold tipped Brogues and matching gold accessories to create a more retro trendy look.

2. Black and White Closet Kimono Dress

Polka dots have been a huge trend this Summer and it seems there's plenty more room for development. This cute little kimono dress is an investment piece that fits the bill: It's on trend and works beautifully with a range of accessories. I've teamed it with these head turning statement gold embellished Brogues, angular black bangle and OTT furry clutch, to create a red carpet look that is what can only be called casual glam.

3. Multi Princess Seam gathered skirt dress

I love this print, it's a stunning ghost like floral in rich red on an ink black ground. We're known for our gorgeous prints and this dress is a perfect example! Made from a soft satin and featuring a subtly ruffled hem - it's a dress for any occasion. I've teamed it with some sleek McQueen-esque shoes, matching embellished gold clutch, glossy bangle and rough cut gold and black earrings, to create a subtly elegant and versatile look.

That's it guys! Thanks again, enjoy your weekend and see you next week!

Hey guys!
Welcome back to another Fashion Friday.

It's been a little while since I've posted so there's plenty to talk about. Once again, I've pulled together a collection of New In styles that are simply gorgeous. A sumptuous range of luxury black dresses ideal for that special occasion!

The little black dress is a classic that will never go out of fashion so it's important to invest for the future. It's also a great piece to style as pretty much anything goes. I'm a huge fan of black and white or black on black, but it can be a bit boring from time to time. That's why this week I've added a bit of embroidered folk to add a modern and on-trend spin to this classic concept.

1. Black Closet Gold High Neck V-Neck

I love the cut of this dress. It's a true "Little Black Dress" and an absolute classic. The model image actually does this dress more justice than the cutout alone, so I've included it below. It's  a lovely combination of classic design details all pulled into one. The line of the neck pleats highlight the natural hourglass much in the same way as a halter neckline. The Plunging v-neck and slightly raised collar add definition to the bust and neck. The high low skirt is a gorgeous addition and creates an elegant draping silhouette from the side. All-in-all a true Closet London favourite. I've teamed it with some matching embroidered folk accessories to add some playful fun to the overall look.

2. Closet Gold Off the Shoulder Dress

The classic Bardot neckline is always a winner and this lovely little skater-esque style is a great example of balance and proportion. Not only that but it's made from a shimmering satin. It's a great go-to dress that's easy to wear and even easier to party in ;) I've gone a bit Mc Queen and added this subtle embossed leather skull clutch, jet chandelier earrings and playful strappy heels with just a hint of embroidered folk art.

3. Black Square Neck Button Wrap Dress

Looking for something a bit more casual comfy? Great, this simple little cross over shift is the one! Yet another New In style, this cute little dress features an asymmetric front with statement buttons and square neckline. I've teamed it with some adorable folk embroidered flats, mini mirrored handbag, matching bangle and earrings. It's a casual take on the LBD concept but works really well as a slightly dressy look for the weekend. Or wear it over and shirt for a versatile workwear look.

1. Closet Gold black Floral Hi-Low Dress:

FAVOURITE - This glam piece is certainly in the running to be the favourite of the collection and is fast becoming a sell-out style. Grab yours before it goes. This dress is all about the luxurious fabric and print: a gorgeous oversized gold intarsia on navy ground. The dress also features a v-neck and high-low hem, to create a truly opulent feel.  I've teamed it with yet more luxury accessories: a pair of Chartreuse tassel strapy heels, a gold lined navy enamel bracelet and voluptuously classic clutch to match.

2. Closet Gold High Neck V-Neck:

Another Closet Gold style, this gold pleated v-neck dress also features the high low hem and is made from a smooth silky satin that literally drapes off the body curves. A sultry, sexy little number indeed! I've teamed it with some statement striped navy and white heels, a decadent navy gold hard clutch and gold dripped pendant earrings. It's a slightly more quirky look than the classic to its left but it's a standout look that will certainly get you noticed.

3. Closet Gold V-back Tie Waist Lines Dress:

A Closet classic, this body hugging silhouette screams classic yet sexy! Made from a navy satin, it's luxurious, soft and ever so slinky. I've teamed it with some textured concept heels, striped clutch and gold-lined stingray bangle. It's a simple go to look that's effortless to put together and works in so many settings.
