TREND EDIT - Trench it up!

Hi Guys,
Happy hump day, not to worry the weekend is fast approaching! Alice, your regular trend editor is away for a few days, so I thought I'd do a bit of a trend take over.

So... London Fashion week has been a hot topic since it started last week and images of street style have been pouring in thick and fast! and I've spotted this really fun yet sophisticated little trend and I'm calling it 'Trench it up'

trench trend edit

This look is all about creating a statement with a bright lightweight trench or blazer. Team it with a printed blouse in matching or similar colour, and cutoffs or comfy jeans. But that's not all! If you really want to nail this look then accessorise, accessorise, accessorise!
Add some sharp heels, cute cutch or tote but make sure they match tonally. If you're going for muted tones then combine with muted accessories. If your going bright then add bright accessories. Just make sure your colour palettes match.

I've picked some Closet pieces that will work wonders with this trend.

It's a great look  that's not only simple to style but easily achieved. All you need is a bold trench and a bit of attitude!

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Hey guys! Happy Friday and what a weekend it's going to be! It's the start of London Fashion Week on Saturday, which means I get a chance to let loose with some conceptual styling of some fab Closet pieces. Hopefully there's something for everyone with my three looks.

1. Tulip dress with cap sleeves:
This dress was on last weeks Fashion Friday, however, this time we've added the navy version and teamed it with some bold red and gold accessories to create a highly-polished, sleek look, that is dead on trend for London Fashion Week. NYFW has seen lashing of gold accessories and red beading, so this look is simple, achievable and definitely a winner... Well, apart from the shoes, but then it wouldn't be Fashion Week with out a fall or two ;)

2. Multistripe skater with high neck:
Looking for an Isobella inspired look to turn heads and get the paparazzi stalking you? Great, we've got the perfect look. I've teamed our bold and beautiful multi coloured stripe skirt with some concept accessories. Vivienne Westwood ankle boots, jet black beaded bangle, YSL purse and of course a statement head piece. Add a bit of hot red lipstick and you're hot to trot!

3. Tie front shirt and Navy wide leg culottes:
This quirky little look is for the seasoned fashionista. It's bang on trend, but with all the comfort you need for hours of walking around the shows. I've teamed this cool ensemble with comfy statement brogues, leather mini tote, matching camera and a selection of matching red accessories to add a bit of dynamic colour. Throw some jet black sunnies on and your ready for a day chasing that scoop.

So that's it! A fun little collection of looks. What's your favorite?

In the meantime, have a lovely weekend and don't forget to follow the shows, we'll be updating you guys with trending styles through out the week.

Plus we're giving away a 15% discount on orders over £80 to celebrate! Get your look for less.  Use code: LFW15

CLOSET LOVES - Marlène's Story

Hi guys.
Happy Thursday. I hope you're all feeling loved up after Valentine's day!
To continue the love, we thought we'd post something that we received recently from a long time customer. It is a message that was read out at Closet London HQ and It made us all feel very warm indeed, especially on Valentine's day. It was such a wonderful, story we felt we had to share it with our community and say thank you to the gorgeous Marlène who wrote it. Her story is the reason we do what we do.

Marlène Ctx wrote...

"Dear Closet team, I have been thinking for a long time that I should send you this message to simply say "thank you". I am a 23 years old French girl who discovered your brand thanks to Zalando almost 4 years ago and I felt in love with Closet Clothing. You have made me feel comfortable in your dresses and I started loving my body because of the dresses's cuts and style. I started wanting to be more feminine and girly, and the unique prints and shapes of your clothes gave me what I was looking for. I have more than 15 dresses from you (and I am not ready to stop there!) I studied in at the Oxford Brooke's University for one year back in 2013/2014 and I decided to wear one of your beautiful dresses to my graduation ceremony... A day I will never forget, as well as the feelings and the emotion! The perfect dress! I might not have the right words to describe how your brand changed my life. I found myself in Closet, I finally found the equivalent of my identity. So thank you. Thank you for your work and creativity, thank you for making me feel beautiful no matter what. You are my little secret! I would have loved to come and see you in London, discover your summer collection, but unfortunately my work does not allow me a little round trip to England. I know that is isn't much, but I really need to thank you!

Best regards from France! Xxxx"

Thank you for sharing Marlene. We're sending you some treats!
